Creative Objective: The Conde Nast Digital Magazine in 2008 I was tasked with a small team to develop the first digital magazine on a mobile phone. We worked with GQ magazine to be the Flagship offering on the mobile phone tied to the December issue that would feature multiple covers. The covers included Rihanna and Tom Brady… We built the application in native IOS platform utilizing a pdf print platform to build out the content of the issue.
It was 2008, a digital platform did not exist. A print company did not have digital distribution. We were task with developing a solution to build a platform and build out content and create assets to publish a magazine a a mobile platform. we have to redesign the content to fit the device and we were tasked with solving a production issue where we did not have the physical resources to create the assets.
Two designer and 4 developers we were able to build out GQ as the first issue and eventually we designed Glamour, Traveler and New Yorker to follow.
